Chapter-4.6   Seven Lessons On Judgment

4.6  None LOST = Happy God

Part-1 – There Will Be A Final Judgment

The following seven Bible passages establish quite clearly that there will be a day of judgment where we will all have to give an account to God!

God’s glorious grace is at work every day so that we can not only be prepared for our final judgment, but so that we can pass our ‘final exam’ with flying colors!

1.  Ecclesiastes 12:13-14. NIV Bible Gateway *1*
“Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.”

2.  Matthew 12:36-37. NIV Bible Gateway *2*
“36 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

3.  Matthew 12:41-42. NIV Bible Gateway *3*
“41 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here. 42 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here.”

4.  Matthew 12:36-37. NIV Bible Gateway *4*
“36 But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. 37 For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

5.  Matthew 10:15. NIV Bible Gateway *5*
“15 Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.”

6.  Romans 2:5-8. NIV Bible Gateway *6*
“But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God “will repay each person according to what they have done.” To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.”

7.  2 Peter 2:9. NIV Bible Gateway *7*
“if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.

Part-2 – None LOST = Happy God

God loves every one — “God is love” (1 John 4:8). *8*. This translates into his desiring the best for everyone. To that end, since heaven is essentially living in his paradise, with him. He wants all people to enter his kingdom through faith in his son, Jesus. 2 Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” *9*

“The time has come ,” he [Jesus] said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news !” *10*
