Chapter-6.1   Eight Irresistible Characteristics Of God

God’s Great Demonstration Of Love Toward Us — While We Were Still Sinners, Christ Died For Us!

There are two passages of Scripture that portray this theme better than anything that we can say.

Romans 5:6-8 NIV

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. *1*

Philippians 2:5-11 NIV

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. *2*

Thank you Lord Jesus. Praise to God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, now and FOREVER! ~Amen

This amazing gift is ours/yours for the asking. God will apply Christ’s sacrifice to our/your behalf when we/you ask in faith and enter into a personal relationship with him.

He wants that relationship with us/you — Revelation 3:20 NIV says: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”

All we/you have to do is open the door and ask him to enter — Matthew 7:8 NIV says:

“For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

He rewards our/your asking with privilege and power — John 1:12 NIV: “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”

Reader, have you asked? If not, please pray with us this simple prayer… “OH, Jesus, I need help, I desire salvation and eternal life. Forgive my sins and enter my life! ~Amen!

America, where are you?
